Limagrain Field Seeds (LFS) with its international multi-crop LG brand is the Field Seeds business of the Limagrain Group. We are a company created, owned and led by farmers and Limagrain Field Seeds exists to supply farmers with the best genetics so they can be as successful and sustainably profitable as possible, by growing the crops the markets request.

Limagrain Field Seeds is unique among global seed companies to be owned and led by farmers, a key foundation of our identity and something we are deeply proud of.

What we do?

We research, develop, produce, and market high-quality field crop seeds designed to maximize performance, adaptability, and sustainability.

We have 4 strategic crops: Corn, Wheat, Sunflower, Winter Oilseed Rape. In addition, we have a portfolio of tactical crops adapted to each region: Barley, Soybean, Millet, Rice, and Pulses.

Through advanced breeding, technology, and agronomic expertise, we deliver high-performance seed solutions that improve yield and quality, strengthen resilience to climate and disease pressures, optimize resource use, and enhance farm profitability.

Group Limagrain is directed by a tandem of elected Farmer-Chairman and salaried CEO to encourage a range of viewpoints among Board Members and Top Executives.

The model of tandem is found at all levels within the Limagrain organization. Decisions in the end are made by farmers.

No farmer grows only one crop, and no global seed business can be successful with a single crop.

Limagrain Field Seeds focus is for a portfolio of multi-crops, which correspond to the needs of farmers in all continents.

The LG brand is the strategic global brand of Limagrain Field Seeds. LG has been serving farmers with premium seeds for over 60 years and is present all over the world and all major crops. 

From humble European, the LG Brand is now, also, the preferred choice for many farmers in more than 70 countries across the Americas, Asia, and Africa.

The LG brand is supported by a fully global and world class research team that helps us to create and deliver over 200 new varieties every year for 9 different crop that perfectly correspond to the needs of the market.
