Limagrain Field Seeds, with its international multi-crop LG brand is the global field seeds division of Group Limagrain. Limagrain Field Seeds is composed of 6 Business Units covering 6 continents with subsidiaries in over 40 countries and sales in 80 countries. Limagrain Field Seeds supplies LG branded seeds of Maize, Wheat, Sunflower, Winter Rape and other regional crops to all farmers large or small. A strong commitment to progress through technology ensures that plant variety improvements arrive continually from 84 research sites and are adapted for maximum local performance.

Limagrain is an agricultural cooperative owned by nearly 1,500 farmers located in Limagne Val d’Allier (in the center of France), and an international seed group present in 57 countries with more than 9,000 employees. The Group breeds, produces and distributes field seeds, vegetable seeds and agri-food products. Focused on the genetic progress of plants, it is driven by its purpose: cooperating for the progress of agriculture everywhere, for everyone. As the fourth largest seed company worldwide, Limagrain, with well-known brands on their markets such as LG, Vilmorin, Hazera, Harris Moran, Jacquet and Brossard, makes 1,909 million euros* in sales, to which is added 642 million euros* made jointly with its strategic partners. The story of Limagrain is truly inspiring, how a group of relatively small farmers in Limagne Val d’Allier (centre of France) cooperated to create the world’s 4th largest seed company. The farmer shareholders of Limagrain have a daily proximity to all levels of our business and are genuine leaders with a long-term vision.

Limagrain Field Seeds is unique among global seed companies to have this model of farmer ownership and leadership and it is something, for which we are incredibly proud and that we want to highlight as a key factor of differentiation.

No farmer grows only one crop and no global seed business can be successful with a single crop. Limagrain Field Seeds focus is for a portfolio of multi-crops, which correspond to the needs of farmers in all continents.

We have 4 strategic crops: Corn, Wheat, Sunflower, and Oilseed Rape. Corn and Wheat are both global crops and we consider them to be part of our identity because they serve as the base for the activities of our Cooperative farmer members. In addition, we have a portfolio of tactical crops adapted to each region: Barley, Soybean, Millet, Rice, and Pulses.

Today, through Perseverance, Limagrain Field Seeds has a global presence, composed of 3 Business Territories covering 6 continents with subsidiaries in 28 countries and sales in 77 countries.

The LG brand is the strategic global brand of Limagrain Field Seeds. LG has been serving farmers with premium seeds for over 50 years and is present across 6 continents and all major crops.

From humble European roots more than 50 years ago, the LG Brand is now, also, the preferred choice for many farmers in countries across the Americas, Asia, and Africa.

The LG brand is supported by a fully global and world class research team that helps us to create and deliver over 200 new varieties every year for 10 different crop species that perfectly correspond to the needs of the market.
